Officials look at adult establishment ordinance

Posted:
MACOMB, Ill. (WGEM) - McDonough County board members got a first look at an ordinance to regulate adult establishments like the recently-opened Wildlife topless club.

McDonough County Board Administrator Beth Crossett says the law and legal committee took a look at the 36-page ordinance Monday night in Macomb.

State's Attorney James Hoyle first presented the ordinance back in 2009, but it was tabled.

Hoyle is expected to make some changes before next month's meeting.

The committee also agreed to recommendations to the county liquor ordinance that would not allow a business like Wildlife to hold a liquor license.

The full board will vote on the changes Wednesday.
