QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -
After being disassembled in 2012, the Friends of the Log Cabin Association is hoping to raise the final amount needed to rebuild the Clat Adams Log Cabin.
The Friends is launching its spring fundraiser to come up with enough money to reassemble the cabin and have it once again standing in the Log Cabin Village in Quinsippi Island Park.
"With this grant match, plus the money we have in the bank, we think we have enough that we can actually go out and put out a bid to see if we can find somebody willing to build it for that price," President John Gebhardt said.
The Friends will have a fundraising booth at the Quincy Mall on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Donations can also be made by going to its website at www.logcabinvillagequincyil.com.
