One person injured in Hannibal rollover accident

HANNIBAL, Mo. (WGEM) - One person was injured Thursday morning in Hannibal after troopers say she hit an oncoming vehicle and flipped her own car.

The crash happened shortly after 9 a.m. at the intersection of West Ely and Centerville Road.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper Jane Johnson said the woman was driving eastbound on the wrong side of West Ely. She tried to get out of the way of an oncoming vehicle but hit it, causing her vehicle to go into the ditch and flipped over.

Johnson said the driver of the rolled over vehicle was taken to Hannibal Regional Hospital and was alert when emergency crews arrived. The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were not injured.

Trooper Johnson did say the injured woman had been dealing with health problems, but it's not known if those problems attributed to the crash.
