Criminal charges will not be filed in Ralls County 911 gunshot incident

A special prosecutor decides not to file criminal charges regarding the accidental discharge of a weapon inside the Ralls County 911 Center.

According to special prosecutor Talley Kendrick, the results of a full investigation did not rise to the level of criminal conduct.  The case all stems from an incident nearly two years ago. Investigators alleged the former Ralls county 911 director and two dispatchers went as far as patching a gunshot hole in drywall, and destroyed video recordings of the incident.
