New restaurant coming to Quincy Regional Airport

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) - A new restaurant will soon open at Quincy Regional Airport.

Aldermen approved the lease for the airport's restaurant facility to Pamela Root, who plans to open "Mane Runway", named for the owner's love of horses.
Root plans to serve a variety of home style food and has big plans for its future.

"I hope to have this restaurant available for the passengers, for the city of Quincy and the surrounding area. I hope to bring special events to Quincy on the weekends, for fly-ins, antique car shows. I just hope to make it a lot of fun and I'm excited," Root said.

Root hopes to have the restaurant open by early May.
