Quincy couple to wed in Fenway Park

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) - If not for Twitter and their shared love for the Boston Red Sox, Quincy native and Assistant QHS Baseball coach Cody Anderson and his fiance Shannon Armitage likely would have never met.

They met through the social network a few years ago and will get married Friday in Boston.  But the story doesn't end there.  Monday afternoon they got a phone call from a family friend with a few Red Sox connections.  The couple will say 'I do' in the right field upper deck in Fenway Park.  It's the same day the Red Sox will receive their World Series championship rings.

"It's beyond a dream come true," Cody Anderson said.  "I can't believe I'm even having this conversation right now.  I really couldn't even dream of anything better than this.  I'm ecstatic.  I couldn't be any more happy right now."

The only other time Cody witnessed a game at Fenway Park, the Red Sox played the Milwaukee Brewers.  He'll see them square off again because Friday's game features the same two teams.
