Local auction open house draws in thousands

Cars, motorcycles, boats, and even planes were a few things on display during a local car auction open house.

Thousands showed up for the annual Spring Collector Car Auction open house Sunday.

For the 9th year in a row the Sullivan Auctioneers, LLC held the event and were excited about this year's outcome.

Auctioneer Dan Sullivan said when they started the event they knew it was going to be a hit.

"We had our first one in 2005, we had about 30 cars at that time and thought that it had so much interest in it and interest from far away and so we went ahead and had another one and it's become an annual event that's grown every year," said Sullivan

The actual action will be taking place Monday at 9 am at the Sullivan Auctioneers in Hamilton, Ill.
