Keokuk man faces 17 years on drug charges

LEE COUNTY, Ia. (WGEM) - A Keokuk man faces up to 17 years and 30 days in prison after being arrested on drug charges.

Lee County Narcotics Task Force commander Stacy Weber says police arrested Austin Dean Schuelka, 24, of 868 Johnson Street Road #H-3, at his home Wednesday morning.

Schuelka is charged with possession with the intent to deliver marijuana while in the possession of a firearm, drug tax stamp violation, maintaining a drug house and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Weber says the task force was investigating allegations that Schuelka was distributing drugs in the area. Police found evidence to support the charges when they served a search warrant.
