Lee County lifts burn ban

LEE COUNTY, Ia. (WGEM) - A burn ban has been lifted for Lee County, Iowa as of Friday morning.

The burn ban was implemented earlier this month because of dry conditions in the county.

The city of Keokuk only allows open burning in April, October and November.

Fire officials say the city may extend April's open burning policy since a burn ban has been in place for the majority of the month.
