Permit revenue decline in Quincy spurs fund transfer

QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) - The Quincy City Council approved a fund transfer Monday to the Planning and Development department because a decline in permit revenue.

The transfer of $14,000 from the Housing Resource Fund was approved after a third reading during a special afternoon meeting. City Comptroller Sheri Ray said permit revenue fell short of projections, causing the department to ask for the fund transfer.

Although $14,000 was approved, Ray said the final amount to transfer came out to just $8,500.
