Shooting charges dropped

Charges were dropped Wednesday for a Quincy man accused in a New Year's Day shooting.

Antonio Edwards was released from jail Wednesday after charges of aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated battery were dropped.

According to court  records, the prosecution was unable to secure witnesses for Edwards' trial scheduled for this coming Monday.

Police say two men were injured during the incident in the 600 block of College Street.
