PAYSON, Ill. (WGEM) - Police arrested three Payson residents when they say they found a meth lab in a house.

M/Sgt. Patrick Frazier, of the West Central Illinois Task Force, says the force, along with sheriff deputies searched 310 Sumac Street in Payson Wednesday morning.

Frazier says police found a shake and bake meth lab at the house.

Police arrested Nicole M. Carpenter, 34, Michael W. Lish, 29, and Gerri L. Epping, 50, all of the home. All three were arrested for aggravated unlawful participation in meth production, unlawful possession of meth-making materials, unlawful possession of meth and meth-related child endangerment.

Police turned a four-year-old found sleeping in the home over to a family member. The Department of Children and Family Services is investigating the child's welfare.
