QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -
If you have a craving for Taco Bell, you can now make a run for the border in downtown Quincy.
Taco Bell opened its second Quincy location Friday at 8th and Broadway. While finishing touches are still being made on the new restaurant, customers are welcome to come in and eat.
Will Duryea, the co-owner of the new location, says this Taco Bell will benefit residents and workers on the west side of Quincy.
"It was a no brainer, a lot of people work and live downtown," Duryea said. "We had a feeling not everyone was making it out to the east side of Quincy to Taco Bell for lunch. So we wanted to have another store down here so everyone can have some Taco Bell for lunch, dinner, and now breakfast as well."
The new Taco Bell created about 65 new jobs in downtown Quincy.
The lobby will be open 7 am to 11 pm seven days a week. The drive-thru will stay open until 1 am Sunday through Thursday and 2 am on Friday and Saturday.
