13 gain citizenship in Hannibal Friday

HANNIBAL, Mo. (WGEM) - The Tri-States got more than a dozen new U.S. citizens Friday.

Hannibal held a citizenship ceremony at the Federal Building.

One person getting his citizenship Friday says he is proud to call the U.S. his home.

"It means that this is my home right now, and I'm here for good, and this makes me feel accepted where I am," Arif Dagin said. "It's been an eight-year process, and I'm really glad that now United States of America is my home."

13 people became citizens at Friday's ceremony.
