Keokuk residents clean up after weekend storms

KEOKUK, Ia. (WGEM) - Sunday's stormy weather hit the Tri-States hard, especially those in southeast Iowa.

Trees blocked roads and limbs fell on cars. Several streets flooded, and downed power lines were reported.

Keokuk resident Jamie Wells lives nearby where a large tree fell onto the road blocking traffic.

Wells says she watched the whole thing unfold outside her home.

"My kids were really scared and everything," Wells said. "They jumped and they're like what's going on and so we ran and we looked out the door and it had fallen on the road."
