Mud Volleyball is one of many highlights to this year's Tom Sawyer Days

As National Tom Sawyer Days came to a close on Sunday, one of its most notorious events raged on until one team was victorious.

The 35th annual Mud Volleyball Tournament had 60 teams fighting for the trophy, but there was no way to get it unless you were willing to get down and dirty.  Y-Men's Club Vice President Kurt Allen said the organization had a great turnout despite surrounding flood waters.

"I think we kind of planned for this.  You know after 35 years, I think we've seen almost every scenario so it hasn't hurt us.  A little extra water running in the streets and stuff but we're good," Allen said.

The Y-Men also held a Junior Tournament Thursday night with roughly half a dozen teams participating.
