QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) -
Quincy's Traffic Commission is looking into different options for controlling traffic on Spring Street.
City engineer Jeffrey Conte says alderman Mike Farha approached the commission about Spring Street from 24th to 22nd. Conte says the concern is with morning traffic and after work rush hours. Drivers often use Spring Street as a short cut to avoid getting stuck behind parked milk trucks at the Prairie Farms operation at 24th and Broadway.
The issue will be discussed at next month's traffic commission meeting.
