2016 Fall Harvest Food Drive

WGEM, County Market and the Salvation Army are teaming up once again for the 29th Annual Fall Harvest Food Drive.

Salvation Army officials throughout the Tri-States say the need is greater than ever before. Numbers of people coming into the local food pantries continue to increase.

But we can be better together.

You can at any participating local County Market stores in the Tri-States. There are designated collection bins or you can purchase a $5 Hope Bag with items already packed and ready for donation.

"Now when this started it really took us through June but the need has increased so much it helps us through February and we would be in real bad shape if we didn't have this great association with WGEM and County Market," Major Andy Miller with the Salvation Army said.

The annual Fall Harvest Blitz is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday. Stop by the corner of 501 Hampshire in Quincy Wednesday and Thursday during WGEM News Today and News Talk Live Shows from 6:30 to 9 and then during WGEM News at Noon.

Just pull up and we’ll accept your non-perishable food items or cash donations.

All collected items will stay at local Salvation Army locations.

The Fall Harvest Food Drive runs until Nov. 21.
