Patient injured in Marion Co. Ambulance crash

CALLAWAY COUNTY, Mo. (WGEM) - An 80-year-old patient was injured when a Marion County ambulance overturned early Friday morning in Callaway County, Missouri, according to authorities.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the ambulance was westbound on I-70 when the ambulance slid off the road and overturned. It stated the patient, Alexander A. Taleff, of Hunnewell, Missouri, was seriously injured.

Marion County Ambulance Chief John Nemes said the ambulance was on a transport from Hannibal to University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. 

Nemes said the crash happened about three or four miles west of Kingdom City, Missouri. He said all three occupants were taken to University of Missouri Hospital for evaluation.

Nemes could not confirm the nature of the occupants' injuries.

The crash report states the driver was Marissa Capps, 26, of Pittsfield, Illinois.
