MONROE CITY, Mo. (WGEM) -

The Monroe City Youth Fair is this week, and crews began setting up for the fair Sunday.

The fair is hosted by the Monroe City FFA and Alumni. It's a chance for youth to show off their animals while learning more about agriculture.

FFA Secretary Nicole Goellner said she's excited for the community to see all the hard work.

"The public can come out and watch the youth," she said. "It's mainly for members in FFA. They come in and they show their animals and they get judged. There's multiple classes they can show in."

The fair begins Monday at Lions Club Field with the goats and sheep show at 5 p.m. The pig show is Tuesday at 6 p.m. and the cattle show is Wednesday at 6 p.m.
