MENDON, Ill. (WGEM) -

Hundreds of people got feet wet and muddy at the obstacle course in Adams County Fair.

It was all a part of Blessing's "Big Heat" Sunday morning. Organizers say Blessing Health System and Quincy YMCA partnered together to hold the biggest race ever with more than 200 runners this year.

The races included monkey bars, a rope climb and a fan favorite, the slip n' slide.

"Well, it's a little difficult," runner Clayton Tallcott said. "I had to run a little faster than I expected. We got it done thought."

"It was a little painful," runner Jacob Tenk added. "I fell down and got a little muddy. It was pretty good."

There were races for all ages, 3rd graders to adults participated, and there were family races as well.
