Crews with the Missouri Department of Transportation are inspecting a Marion County bridge to figure out how much life it has left.

The bridge is on County Road 313, near Taylor, Missouri, and crosses the North Fabius River.

MoDOT believes the inspection will finish Wednesday, but while it's going on, the bridge is closed during the day and open at night.

"The bridge, with it being built in 1929 there is a lot of age and low weight limit, we need to anticipate replacing the bridge," said Marion County Presiding Commissioner, Lyndon Bode. "With the inspection we will have a better knowledge of what's going on. We can anticipate as the county commission and know when we need to replace it."

Bode said the commission will get the results from the inspection in September.
