A Hannibal man was arrested Tuesday evening on multiple drug warrants, according to police.

Hannibal Police Department said Jon Morton, 31, was arrested at 3650 Stardust at 10:28 p.m. Lt. John Zerbonia said Morton was arrested for multiple warrants stemming from narcotic search warrants conducted by HPD on July 3 in the 2600 block of Carroll and 900 block of Ernest.

Police said while searching the suspect, officers found items consistent with distribution of methamphetamine. An additional investigation lead officers to find a quantity of what they believed to be methamphetamine consistent with distribution from the vehicle Morton had driven to the location, according to police.

Police said Morton was transported to the Marion County Jail and was held on four active warrants.

New charges of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia were sent to the Marion County prosecutor for review, according to police.
