SHELBYVILLE, Mo. (WGEM) -

Shelby County 911 said the town of Shelbyville is without water Sunday morning.

On Facebook, officials believed someone hit a hydrant which caused residents to lose water.

City Superintendent Randy Shores said they noticed the problem around 3:30 a.m. and had it fixed right around 8 a.m.

The superintendent said many residents lost water pressure but the water has been restored.

A boil order has been issued in Shelbyville for 48 hours.
