NEW LONDON, Mo. (WGEM) -

Several motorcycle riders made their way through New London, Missouri to honor loved ones on Monday.

It was the 9th annual Chuck Fletcher memorial ride. Organizers said the ride took them along route A., passing where Fletcher was killed 9 years ago in a car accident. The ride is in his memory, but riders also honored other loved ones who have recently died.

"People could also ride in memory of anyone they would like to remember, as well as in memory of Chuck," rider Ann Gerling said. "So I would like to ride in memory of a friend that I went to high school with that just passed away recently. So I'm riding in memory of her this year."

Organizers say more than 50 bikes made the ride and hope to continue this Labor Day tradition next year.
