Lewis Co. authorities ask for public's help

LEWIS COUNTY, Mo. (WGEM) -

The Lewis County Sheriff's Office asked the public for help Tuesday after recent reports of vehicle break-ins.

In a news release, the sheriff's office reported it continues to receive reports throughout the Durham and Maywood area. It stated at least two unlocked vehicles were entered last weekend.

The release stated authorities believe the incidents happened after midnight and were related.

Residents were reminded to lock their vehicles. They're also asked to not leave purses, money, valuables and medications in vehicles.
