Two arrested for meth in Quincy

The West Central Illinois Task Force has reported the arrest of two individuals in Quincy for meth on Monday night.

M/Sgt. Patrick Frazier stated that Darlene Elles, 39 of Benton City, Missouri, and Anthony Hutton, 37 of Hannibal, were both arrested during a drug investigation on Quincy's south side.

Officers conducting surveillance near the 900 block of Jefferson stopped Elles for a traffic offense.

Hutton was a passenger in the car and attempted to flee on foot. After a brief foot chase, Hutton was apprehended.

Elles and Hutton were found to be in possession of over 50 grams of methamphetamine ICE and numerous Oxycodone pills.

Both were transported to the Adams County Jail where they were lodged on charges of Methamphetamine Trafficking and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.
