Mobile health clinic visits Quincy Public Schools

A mobile health care clinic is helping to make sure Quincy students are healthy now that they've started a new school year.

Parents at Iles Elementary were able to get free back to school physicals for their children on Tuesday night. This was thanks to the United Way of Adams County's Wellness Express which visited the school.

The goal is to help QPS students get their physicals before the required state deadline of Monday, October 15.

"They'll get a quick look," said Dr. Tanner Eiben. "Make sure everything is going okay, and that their children are healthy."

It's the first time the mobile clinic has assisted the Quincy Public School District. It's provided back-to-school physicals for 50 students so far. If parents are interested in participating, officials say you can reach out to your school nurse.

The Wellness Express is also scheduled to visit the former Ellington Elementary school on Wednesday and Quincy Senior High School on Thursday.
