QUINCY (WGEM) -Two Quincy sisters are making a difference by raising money for the Salvation Army through their donut and lemonade stand.

On Saturday morning, Grace and June Hendrian sold lemonade, donuts, candy and coffee out of their stand on North 12th Street.

Grace and June’s mother, Kellea Hendrian, said she is proud of her daughters for wanting to make a difference in the community.

“I definitely think this last year has been when we need to help each other, whether it be COVID, housing, food insecurity right here in our own community, let alone nationally and globally,” she said. “So it’s not something that’s just an easy fix with a little stand but we are happy to be part of that solution for our community.”

Hendrian said her daughters have surpassed their goal of raising $1,250 which will be put toward 500 meals.

Her family plans to continue raising money for the Salvation Army by ringing bells this holiday season.
