QUINCY, Ill. (WGEM) - The Canton Tigers were back on the MSHSAA post-season soccer pitch earlier today in Canton. 4th-seeded CHS was facing Lutheran St. Charles in a Class 1 District 3 Semifinal game on the campus of Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri.

The (5-12-3) Tigers got off to a slow start in this natch-up, and the visiting Cougars took full advantage of the opportunity despite the best efforts of Tigers goalkeeper Preston Brewer. Well have game highlights from “The Hill!”

In the IHSA prep volleyball ranks, Quincy Notre Dame has earned their way to a berth in the Class 2A Section Final set for Wednesday at Knoxville High School. The Lady Raiders will face the Lady Bombers of Macomb in their highly anticipated title tilt. We’ll have the latest from the “Blue and Gold” camp and head coach Courtney Kvitle is counting on her seniors in a big way during QND’s 2021 post-season run.

This “Football Friday Night” in Palmyra, the Panthers will return to action on the prep post-season gridiron as they play host to the Tigers of Macon. The two teams met during the regular season (September 10), and PHS was able to pull of a convincing 40-21 road win against MHS. Right now though, a lot of things have changed in the Tigers camp. Panthers head coach Kevin Miles offered an update that the team the “Orange and Black” faced back in September has undergone a few changes. We’ll have the latest from “The Flower City!”
