It won’t be dry forever
QUINCY (WGEM) -
This weekend is shaping up to be just about perfect no matter what your favorite flavor of weather. It will be seasonable and cool in the mornings but warming in the afternoons to about 10 degrees above normal on Sunday. The weekend will be dry, but as always in the Tri-States it can’t stay dry forever or won’t stay dry forever. High pressure has been in the driver’s seat and keeping the skies sunny but that will all change about Wednesday next week. A cold front will approach from the west and slide through the area beginning Tuesday night. This will at first just add a bit of cloud cover for the area. By Wednesday we expect rain showers to develop and persist with the slow moving system through Thursday night. After the front passes the rain will stop and significantly cooler air will begin to build into the Midwest. Just how cold will it be and will there be any early season snow... that is still to be determined.
