QUINCY (WGEM) - Quincy residents honored local veterans during the 13th annual Veterans Parade on Saturday.

The parade on Maine Street kicked off with a flyover of a C-130 cargo plane from the Peoria Air National Guard.

It featured Quincy Fire and Police, many veterans and local organizations.

One local resident said he brought his family to the event to make veterans feel supported.

“We need to support them in any way we can and I wanted to bring my daughter up to respect the veterans and respect her country and be proud of it,” said Riley Pryor.

The parade also featured performances by Quincy High School’s marching band, cheerleading team, and color guard.
