QUINCY (WGEM) - Quincy residents lined Maine Street for the 13th annual Veterans Parade on Saturday.

The event kicked off with a flyover of a C-130 cargo plane from the Peoria Air National Guard.

The parade featured many veterans and local organizations and performances by Quincy High School’s marching band, cheerleading team and color guard.

One resident said he brought his family to the event to make veterans feel supported.

“We need to support them in any way we can and I wanted to bring my daughter up to respect the veterans and respect her country and be proud of it,” said Riley Pryor.
