Kent Rubey is the final winner in Montrose City Council race

MONTROSE, Iowa (WGEM) - Kent Rubey was declared the winner of the third open seat in the Montrose City Council race following a drawing to break an Election Day tie.
Lee County Auditor Denise Fraise announced the result Monday afternoon.
Kent Rubey had tied for third place with Emma Rubey, with each receiving 37 votes. Fraise said election code stipulated that the winner would be decided by draw.
Mark Holland and Tony Sciumbato were the top two vote-getters in the race.
