Man dies after car crashes with farm machinery

FORT MADISON (WGEM) -- A man is dead after crashing his vehicle into farm machinery in Lee County Tuesday.
Sheriff Stacy Weber said deputies were called to the Green Bay Bottoms around 6:15 p.m. for a crash at the intersection of X50 and 190th Street.
That’s about six miles east of Fort Madison.
Weber said the driver of the vehicle was killed. The farmer was not hurt.
He said he is withholding the victim’s name while authorities contact family members.
