QUINCY (WGEM) - A December trial date for Natasha McBride has been pushed back despite objections from the defense.

McBride is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the Aug. 14, 2020, deaths of Jenniffer Hendricks, 54, of Rushville, and Dakota Corrick, 6, Archer Corrick, 4, and Ransom Corrick, 21 months. The boys were Hendricks’ grandchildren and lived in Kirksville, Mo.

According to our news-gathering partners at The Herald-Whig, the Adams County State’s Attorney’s Office requested the delay because they have not received records they need to review before trial.

Despite objection from Chief Public Defender Todd Nelson, Judge Robert Adrian approved the delay.

McBride has pleaded not guilty in the case. A status hearing has been set for Dec. 1.
