QUINCY (WGEM) - The two people charged in the reported carjacking, robbery and sexual assault of a 70-year-old Adams County woman are now back in Quincy, the Adams County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed.

Bradley Yohn, 34, of Springfield, Illinois, and Karen Blackledge, 32, of Quincy, were taken into custody about 2 p.m. Wednesday at 1906 Cornell in Springfield.

Yohn and Blackledge each face two counts of home invasion, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated vehicular hijacking, residential burglary and aggravated criminal sexual assault. In addition, Yohn was charged with an additional vehicular hijacking that occurred in Adams County two weeks ago.

The sheriff’s office confirmed last Thursday that officers were working with Illinois State Police and Springfield Police on a homicide investigation. The case involves the body of a Virden, Illinois, man found in a car near where Yohn and Blackledge were arrested

Adams County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Jake McMahon said Yohn and Blackledge are scheduled to make their first appearance in Adams County Court at 1:30 p.m. in Courtroom 1A.
