A storm system approaching the Tri-State area had wind flow out of the south and that really warmed things up. Tuesday’s daytime high temperatures topped out in the mid to upper 60s. We did have quite a bit of cloud cover which kept our temperatures away from that 70° mark. This storm system has a cold front attached to it that will swing through the area as we go through the early morning hours Wednesday. It looks as if the daytime high temperature will come right about sunrise and then the wind will shift out of the west northwest after the cold front passes through Out ahead of the cold front you will see some very isolated showers and then right at it and just behind the cold front a very narrow band of showers pushes through the area. There is not much moisture for this system to work with. The big story will be a sharp drop in temperatures throughout the day on Wednesday. We should end up in the mid 40s by the time we get to late afternoon.

Thursday skies will clear and and remain clear overnight that will allow temperatures to drop down into the low 20s. There will be a slight rebound heading into the weekend with daytime high temperatures topping out at or near average for Saturday and Sunday in the low to mid 50s.
