QUINCY (WGEM) - If you’ve been looking to volunteer with a local non-profit but don’t know which one, the United Way of Mark Twain Area is holding an event to help you.

They’re hosting a Giving Tuesday Party on Nov. 30 which will feature more than 30 Northeast Missouri non-profits.

Attendees can learn more about the organizations, as well as how to get involved.

Executive Director Denise Damron said it’s a great resource for those looking to get involved in their community.

“An individual might feel called like ‘that’s the organization that I want to financially support,’” Damron said. “For us at United Way that’s what it’s all about. This is one big party we are having where all of our local nonprofits will be together and then the goal is for any individuals, anyone to come and learn that’s motivated to make our community better.”

The event will be from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Rialto Banquet Hall in Hannibal.

Damron said it is free to attend.
