High pressure is centered right over top of the Tri-State area. High pressure usually means clear skies for the area and that is true with our current situation. Overnight that high pressure will move to the east and will allow wind flow to shift out of the south, for a bit of a warm-up Friday into Saturday. That wind flow may be a little bit on the breezy side especially Friday afternoon. It will also allow a little bit more cloud cover to roll into The Midwest. A weak area of low pressure develops just to the east of Colorado. It has enough strength to possibly spark a scattered shower for parts of Iowa and Illinois early Sunday morning. That area of low pressure then tracks to the east and will leave us with what should be mostly sunny to partly cloudy day on Sunday, although temperatures will be a touch cooler Sunday than Saturday.
