QUINCY (WGEM) - After taking a year off due to the pandemic, the 53rd Annual Holiday Gift Show returned to the Oakley-Lindsay Center Saturday afternoon.

Hundreds of people wandered the aisles that featured vendors selling anything from popcorn and jewelry to woodworking and Christmas decorations.

The annual event is put on by the Quincy Service League. Organizers said this event is their largest fundraiser of the year, and all money raised goes directly back into projects that help the community.

According to the league, over $100,000 has been raised by the show over the last several years that have been given to grants and scholarships in the community.

Gift show chair Laura Keane said she was excited to see the show come back this year.

“This is our first year back and it is crazy. We’ve had such a great response with people and vendors and it has been so busy all day long,” said Keane.

She said this event is one of her favorite events to attend and really builds the Christmas spirit.

“I think that having this has really sparked a lot of people to move forward with Christmas and make it a great holiday season,” said Keane.

The show continues Sunday, November 21st from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the center.

Tickets are $3 per adult, $2 for seniors and $1 for kids ages six to 12. Tickets are free for children under the age of five.
