The second of two cold fronts is advancing across the Tri-States Sunday evening as much cooler air filters into the region. Around 5:45PM there was a 13 degree temperature difference across the region, with Hannibal at 52 degrees while Fort Madison had fallen into the 30′s.

Behind this cold front, temperatures at all the cities across the Tri-States will continue to plummet with low temperatures overnight dipping down into the mid to upper 20′s. That cold air, combined with the gusty winds, means that wind chills could reach as low as the teens for some locations overnight Sunday night into the day on Monday. High temperatures on Monday will also be on the colder side, struggling to hit 40.

The good news is the shot of cold air will not last long. For more details, tune in to WGEM News Today Monday morning.
