Suspect in arson case faces previous assault charges
HULL, Ill. (WGEM) - A Hull, Illinois, man accused of lighting houses and a car on fire also is facing charges for aggravated assault and reckless discharge of a firearm stemming from an incident Aug. 27.
Brian D. Morris reportedly pointed a gun at firefighters Sam L. Reed and Melissa S. Grimsley and fired three shots into the air. He was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of reckless discharge of a firearm.
Court records show he was free on a $20,000 bond after posting 10% on Oct. 12. He is due Dec. 7 in Pike County Circuit Court for arraignment in the case.
