QUINCY (WGEM) -Here we go into what is for some and extended holiday weekend. Others like myself ,we will be working. A cold front pushing on through the Tri-State area and it’s awake we will see cold air funneling in out of the Northwest. Daytime high temperatures on Thanksgiving day will run 10° below what is normal for this time of year. Couple that with a little bit of a brisk northwest wind and it will be a bit uncomfortable all those guys will be sunny. High pressure builds in for Thursday and as we mentioned it will be sunny. Sunny skies should prevail for your Friday. We start off on the chilly side Friday morning, with low temperatures all the way down into the upper teens. There is a bit of a rebound on Saturday under sunny skies with daytime high temperatures a back up in the low to mid 50s. Next week we will be rolling into the first part of December and it looks like daytime high temperatures will run up into the 50s every day, beginning Monday. Enjoy your Thanksgiving day , For planning purposes temperatures at noon on Thanksgiving day will be right around 35° by 6 p.m. temperatures will be down to 29. Have a safe weekend.
