QUINCY (WGEM) -

The weekend forecast holds a little bit of warmth and a little bit of seasonably cool air. BUT NO SNOW. That should satisfy folks on both sides of the spectrum. We have a warm front that is scheduled to slide just to the north of the area on Saturday. The warm front will have a nice southerly wind that will usher in temperatures that will top out near 60 degrees for your Saturday. As the storm system pulls to the east the cold front attached to the west side of the storm will slide across the Tri-State area. There is not much moisture for this cold front and storm system to work with so we don’t expect any precipitation. We do expect some cloud cover and cooler temperatures on Sunday. The northerly wind will kick in Sunday coupled with a little bit of cloud cover keeping temperature is down to a more seasonable mid 40s for a high. This cool air will not last long as we start the work week daytime high temperatures will top out well above normal every day Monday through Friday with a couple days reaching up into the 60s. If you have been itching for a warm day to get out and do some leaf raking or to put up your outdoor Christmas decorations this next week should accommodate.
