Macomb police investigating threat to school

MACOMB (WGEM) - There will be extra patrol at the Macomb Junior/Senior High School Thursday in Macomb after police said an unnamed student made a threat Wednesday.
According to a news release, Police received information about a threat of violence against another student, and the school.
They said the Macomb Police School Resource Officer did an investigation, and took the student, who was making the threats, into custody.
Police said the student was transported to the Mary Davis Juvenile Detention Center.
They said in the release while they don’t believe there is any further threat to students and staff, they will still be at the school on Thursday to ensure everyone’s safety.
Police did not provide any more details about the student, or the incident
