Christkindl Market returns to Quincy
QUINCY (WGEM) - After being canceled due to COVID-19 last year, the Christkindl Market returns this weekend to Quincy.
You can find it in Dick Brothers Brewing Co. building in The District.
Christkindl Market is a German tradition that dates back to the 1500s , communities would gather together and eat, drink and buy gifts for their family and friends.
This year, The District Programming and Marketing Director Jeremy Ledford said The District’s Christkindl Market is hosting more than 40 local vendors as participants support local businesses in the process.
“Well, The District really likes to be able to support our local economy. So, by allowing customers and vendors to gather in a spot like this in Quincy, is really a nice way to see the community come out and be in the holiday spirit,” Ledford said.
The Christkindl Market will be open throughout this weekend.
It runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
Tickets for each day are $3 and kids 12 an under attend for free.
