QUINCY (WGEM) - A line of strong thunderstorms moved quickly through the region early Friday evening, causing the National Weather Service to issue tornado warnings for parts of the region.
Pike and Ralls counties in Missouri and Pike and Scott counties in Illinois were raked by the storms, which had radar-indicated tornadoes.
Pike County, Ill., Sheriff David Greenwood reported about 7:45 p.m. that his office had not received many reports of damage, aside from a transformer on Federal Street in Griggsville that had exploded.
The last of the tornado warnings in the Tri-States were canceled by the National Weather Service just before 8 p.m.
