Semi rollover crash closes U.S. 24/61 ramp

MARION COUNTY, Mo (WGEM) - A semi rollover crash Wednesday morning closed the U.S. 24 soundbound/U.S. 61 ramp at the Taylor interchange, according to Missouri Department of Transportation.
A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper on scene said the crash was caused by the tractor trailer driver going too fast. He said the driver was not injured.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office said roads were icy in the area.
The trooper said the semi was hauling food, so the health department would be called to the scene to help handle the situation.
The crash happened about 4:15 a.m. MoDOT estimated the closure would last eight hours.
