Semi driver killed after crashing into Lee County business

LEE CCOUNTY, Iowa (WGEM) - A semi driver was killed after crashing into a Lee County, Iowa business on Thursday morning.
According to the Lee County Iowa Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Richard Cathey Jr. of Senatobia, Mississippi, drove into the Tri State Stove Inc. building in St. Paul at 3:47 a.m.
A passenger in the truck was taken by ambulance to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Neither was wearing a seat belt.
No one was in the building at the time of the crash.
The sheriff’s office asked residents to avoid the area while crews removed the truck from the building and investigated the crash.
The intersection of 205th Ave. and 130th St. was partially shut down.
The post said St. Paul Fire was assisted by West Point Fire and Rescue at the scene. The sheriff’s office requested assistance from both the Iowa Department of Transportation and the Iowa State Patrol.
